Reid Thompson, MD
Dr. Reid Thompson received his MD and PhD degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY) in 2011. He then trained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) for his internship and radiation oncology residency. In 2016, he joined the faculty at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU; Portland, OR) and the Portland VA as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, and Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology. He is also a member of the Quantitative Oncology division of OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute. He serves on the artificial intelligence advisory board of the American College of Radiology (ACR; Reston, VA) and as Chair of the ACR Data Science Institute’s Oncology subspecialty panel, and has served on ASTRO’s Health Information Technology Subcommittee and more recently the Science Education and Program Development Subcommittee. He is the recipient of a VA Career Development Award and the joint Melanoma Research Alliance / ASTRO Young Investigator Award.
